The Ashes are on!! So much epic legend. Haven't figured out the text/colour/black balance but you get the idea.

Australia just looks cooler each time I draw him...

Ahhh the legend of the first ever cricket matches between England and its humble colony, which Australia had the audacity to win... an obituary, published in Punch:

In Affectionate Remembrance

which died at the Oval

Deeply lamented by a large circle of sorrowing
friends and acquaintances

N.B.—The body will be cremated and the

There was a lot of epic drama in a series that was balanced over the decades... the quotes in-pic are from the legendary era of Sir Donald Bradman, officially The greatest sportsman ever, and the dirty tactics the English captains used to get the best of him.

Though England won the Ashes that time, Australia was in such a furor that it actually caused a rift in political relations. Diplomats had to smooth things over. The Bodyline tactics used by the Brits were banned forever.

Australia is laid back, but pretty damn passionate about its sports. And if you're one of those Aussies that doesn't like sports, well, you've got to be passionate about that too.

...not that I really watch cricket or anything.
