M has a problem.
M is beautiful, has long flowing hair, and a helluva lot of cool-ass attitude. M in fact out-badasses just about everyone else in the game M appears in. M even had a tragic past in which M lost both of M's parents to circumstances not entirely irrelevant to the fate of the world as we all know it.
It's just that... well, damn. One can't help thinking if M wasn't a girl the fandom would be so much bigger... You shippers and couplers out there shouldn't neglect perfectly fine, badass characters with lots of zing and spark just because they happen to be female. Straight couplings can be fun too.

And guys like girls like that, right? For the most part. I think girls like girls like that too, if the character is not mary-sueish.
I'm thinking about Rukia (how much girls like her) and Orihime (how much girls hate her).
I don't mind Orihime, at least in the manga she had her own slightly whackjob personality... it's just the anime keeps pulling "moments" in for her. I find that as annoying as the gratuitous ed & al moments in FMA, but girl fans don't seem to have issues with the latter.
I dunno, I like girls like that and most girls do too.. but.. when it comes to mad-hot fandom shippie love they just don't get as much as they should. I mean, if this chick was a dude she'd get SO SO SO much fanpairing, fandrooling and other fanaticisms thrown her way. I cannot understate how PERFECT her character's role is for a bish guy to be in. It'd seriously be.... D: yeah.
But it's a girl. So she gets respect, but no fandom. I mean, shipping's not a logical science or anything but, people are overlooking some GREAT combos here!
I really don't understand why girls have gone out of 'style' you know? I can understand liking male characters a lot, because I have myself, but I've always had a girl character that I was passionate about too. Nowadays you see so many people pairing guys together, and even though I can relate to some of those situations, I don't see how girl characters are getting so much less love. Unless they aren't being portrayed as well as they could be?
Anyway, this gal looks mighty interesting. :9 Indeed.
Hhhhmm... well the world needs a few badass girls.
But I'm also thinking about Paine. Girls like her. I think. Guys like her too.
I don't remember the ed/al moments, but that might have to do with the fact that I've never watched fma. I should start reading it again. Saying this after spending 2 hours doing nothing but reading fma doujins. Damn they're hot.
Funnily enough the trend in the anime industry right now is to put out tons of shows all about and featuring many beautiful girls. The Moe genre, I think they call it...
I get how guy guy and guy girl is a lot more fun than girl girl for a female coupler, but all the same. Just because you can't pair a character doesn't make them somehow unattractive. I just think she needs more fans than she's got. And, it's ironic that if she were male you can just TELL she'd have a huge cult following. That's the way these things go

But not to Save Me, not to Help me Outside-
Just to get me Down, Down out of Sight.
