Mum taped this show Guests from the Future when it was on TV in the 80s in Russia, and watches reruns of it sometimes while she cooks. It's based on the work of a certain Russian sci-fi writer, and is a children's miniseries, about a 6th-grader who accidentally ends up in the future.

It's SUCH a sweet, cute children's series and it's so well-executed.
Anyway, this girl Alisa (coming from the future to find the boy) is played by the cutest little actress. She's just extraordinary, and so cool and collected. So I finally tracked down her image and drew it, something I meant to do for AGES. It's a pretty blurry picture, keeping in mind that it was a really blurry screencap. I have some leeway with the grainy 70s film stock.

Here she is, in the adorable school uniform all Russian schoolkids had to wear in those days ( no more cute red bows and brown dresses!)
