Hohoho.

This was a bit rushed. The sailors got back and I was racing to finish it in time for packing.
OK!
As requested, in full swinging 1920s fashions (sorta), Phoenix Wright castmembers as the characters of the Great Gatsby.

Weird, huh? I guess unless you're a series fan it's hard to appreciate how much fun it is to series-cross like this. But uh... there you go. It took a while to decide on who was who. If you're curious enough and not a fan of classical literature, check this out.

:pointr: Cast :pointl:
Phoenix Wright as Nick Carraway.
The sort-of well-to-do impartial narrator, cousin of Daisy, possibly gay for Gatsby. ...possibly.

Franziska von Karma as Jordan Baker
Cynical, boyish, self-centered "new woman" of the 1920s, golf champion and cheat extraudenaire. Lies a lot. Possibly gay for Daisy.....

Miles Edgeworth as Jay Gatsby
The protagonist of the novel, a fabulously welathy young man who throws huge parties in order to woo the heart of his long-time beloved. Got rich by being sponsored by suspicious businessdude Meyer Wolfsheim (played by Manfred von Karma, naturlich)

Maya Fey as Daisy Buchanan
Nick's cousin, a beautiful socialite with her head in the clouds. Couldn't be bothered waiting for Gatsby but doesn't seem to mind going behind her husband's back with him.

Godot as Tom Buchanan
The rich, burly ex-sportsman who marries Daisy.

Yeah, I know, it's kinda whack huh? It'd be more canon if Franziska and Maya swapped places, I guess. But Franziska just had exactly the right attitude for mean little Jordan, and Edgy was already an eccentrically rich dude in a pink suit. So that's how it goes.
For those of you playing at home, we also worked out the other roles - Myrtle, the woman Tom's sleeping with, would be Mia. Seeing as, y'know.
And the rich dude who made Gatsby would be Manfred von Karma. They're just about as nasty as each other really.

YEAH yeah yeah I'm a geek. X3 sue me, this is fun!

GORDON FREEMAN IS NOW THESE HANDS
:icontrillzey:
:XD: You don't see him bumbling around like that much huh..

"I didn't do it!" He says, and he throws up his hands. "I was only robbing the register, I hope you understand!"
:icontrue-defiance:
Oh cool a Great Gatsby crossover... :-) I'm intrigued... perhaps I might try and read the novel (last year I had to choose between doing The Great Gatsby or A Seperate Peace for my school's novel study... but I chose the latter... it was also a great novel).

You can't change the past :lonely:, but you make the future better. :cuddle: :rose:

I know not of the Pheniox thing cast, but I know of Gatsby.

You gave him a pink suit! YES! That makes the man, the pink suit.

I really like the style and I read your notes.
So... you think Nick might like Jay and Jordan might like Daisy. Personally, I think they are friends. You have the book? Read the last page of chapter two. It is fragmented because it is being told by Nick who is drunk. If you want to find gay pairings, it is subtle and may be completely just my imagination, but read it.

Ah!!!! AMAZING! This is especially cool because I have read the book!!
Hahaha lol Edgeworth x Maya is so bizarre.. XD
Actually come to think of it... Godot x Maya is pretty strange too. :O

... I was totally convinced that Nick was gay for Gatsby when I read that book. :3

...IT'S GOOD TO KNOW I'M NOT THE ONLY PERSON WHO THOUGHT THAT!

hi
:iconcompulsivedoodler:
You saw it before I said it! AWESOME! Actually I didn't realize it until a friend of mine pointed it out to the class. We all laughed, but then I read the page and I ended up completely agreeing with her! Chester is a small character, but oh well, it can be used.

I really like the comparisons. I have a Great Gatspy-inspired art of my own, too.
:iconandywaltfeld:
Why's Godot gotta be the asswipe? I never liked Tom. And most literary criticisms say he was also a racist.
:iconjaaku-san:
.....and this just further proves to me that Gatsby and Nick should be together because, hey, Phoenix and Edgeworth. XD
